About

The International Social Work Clearinghouse was developed as part of the first ISW Conference in Boston in 2007. More than 150 international social work scholars and practitioners discussed best practices and challenges in global social work education. The goal is to create central place for educators concerned with teaching and training in the field of international social work. The ISW Clearinghouse is maintained by the Boston College Graduate School of Social Work and is currently a pilot project.

The 2007 conference was hosted by Boston College and presented by the National Association of Deans and Directors of Schools of Social Work (NADD) International Taskforce & the Council on Social Work Education’s Katherine A. Kendall Institute (KAKI).
